Alrighty ladies, :waving:

If you had a 3 day weekend but barely no money to be throwing around, what would you do? What activities?

I myself am contemplating painting, MAYBE archery ( nearby doesn't cost me anything ) definitely get some viola in.

Of course, cleaning my apartment and laundry is on that list. :goofball:

I just thought it would be neat to see what ideas you all have.

Being in the DC metro area, I would go to a Smithsonian museum or the zoo...depending on weather and time of year. Driving through the mountains, particularly in the fall, would be another option. I've gone to visit friends and family. Always include church services on Sunday. Maybe help a neighbor or elderly friend with some projects.

I get 3-day weekends fairly often (several times a year!)...and I rarely have plenty of money to spend. So, I usually catch up on sleep, clean up whatever part of the housework has been lacking, and just generally take it easy. I also might go shopping and hit the clearance racks to see if I can find any great bargains.

If I actually wanted to get away on a 3-day weekend, though, I can think of a few places to go that wouldn't cost a fortune (though they wouldn't be free). It would be fun to drive up to the mountains for a couple days. The peace and quiet, solitude, and fresh mountain air would be wonderfully refreshing, and the only cost would be food and a hotel room! If I wanted something more "interesting", I'd go to Savannah or St. Simons. There is plenty to do and see in those places without spending a fortune on anything except food and hotels!

Yes I was thinking a drive to our north shore here in Minnesota up past Duluth would be nice. But not by myself and brother can't go.

Goodbye everyone. :waving: I am leaving the site permanently. There is not 1 person within 300 miles of me with similar beliefs, and long distance relationships won't work for me, because I am tied down to my job. I intend on primarily hoping to meet my future someone at church or church activities. Some of you have been blessings to listen to, others have been blessings to not have to listen to :goofball: LOL. Good luck everyone, I wish you ALL the best in your search.

Best Wishes to You, hope all works out.

Online dating is not always productive for many people.

Especially people in small cities.

I enjoy the parks, long walks, Historic sites and coffee

shops. We have much of that here in my City.
