Ok, so maybe I do have 30 pairs of shoes. I haven't counted them recently! As much as I like shoes, they aren't something that I spend a lot of money on. I shop the clearance racks, buy less expensive brands, and wear them until they literally fall apart. The only shoes I'm willing to pay full price for are my athletic shoes. I have to have a specific size (7.5 narrow) in a specific brand (New Balance) in a specific style (can't remember which one!) or my feet absolutely kill me while I'm exercising. It's worth paying $100 every year for one pair of new shoes that actually make my feet feel good! My shoe weakness is Sketchers. Fortunately, I have no problem wearing last year's models, so I buy them off the clearance racks. Most of my other shoes are rather plain and functional. Since I sometimes work long days, I don't like to wear anything that is going to hurt my feet...I go for comfort first, then style. (Though there are some comfortable styles that you will never see on MY feet!) How do shoes make me feel? Confident and attractive. A great pair of shoes (even if they cost under $20!) can really make a huge difference! Post Reply

For work I have 2 pairs of shoes...one brown, one black. I have sandals for church and athletic shoes. I'm not very color coordinated so I stick with the basics. I also have to be very selective in shoes...my feet are my foundation...if they're not comfy, I won't wear them! I saw my grandmother and aunts' feet and swore I would take care of my feet to avoid bunions, hammer toes, etc. So far so good! Post Reply
View Profile History	Women, The mystery...The shoes. Posted : 12 Aug, 2011 11:13 AM Ok so yes I'm a guy, and no I don't have 30 pairs of shoes. I think the reason women tend to have so many pairs though is because of the concept of outfits. You (apparently) can't just put on a cute outfit and throw on whatever shoes are comfortable--they simply MUST match, or at least not clash. Since women's outfits often involve combinations of colors, their shoes must somehow work with whatever else they are wearing in a way that guys basically just don't notice but women are able to pick out intuitively. I don't understand it myself, but there at least IS a reason for girls to have so many shoes, or so I've heard. Post Reply

I counted my shoes this morning, by the way, and I only have 29 pairs (not including the half-dozen or so pairs of flip flops). :goofball: (I also found a few of those 29 pairs that are worn out, so I probably need to get rid of those!) I have one pair of black heels one pair of brown heels i pair of white sandals one pair of black sandals one pair of athletic shoes and 1 pair of house slippers. That is my entire collection of shoes so ... thats what 6... lol Post Reply

Posted : 15 Aug, 2011 03:37 PM :ROFL:...well...one day over nine years ago I did a personal inventory of stuff and things...I found I had 110 pairs of shoes and only 2 feet...:excited:...SELFISH SELFISH SELFISH...me me me...:rolleyes:...COMPULSIVE COMPULSIVE COMPULSIVE...gota have it gota have it gota have it...I did a " I dont need this as much as someone else does" clearing out to those charitys that GIVE and not Sell...today I have 15 pair of shoes...Work Boots & Casual [sneakers, cowgirl boots, flip flops, 2 pair of dress heels] and I wear them ALL...just not at the same time...:ROFL:...xo Post Reply
