Because to me, I think that all it means is that you had nothing to say, or did not care enough to send a message. Just wanted opinions... Post Reply

I believe people who use this are looking to get your attention or don't know how to start off a conversation, so they rely on a wink. I would understand if they sent the wink and sent a message afterwards...but just a wink?...O_O ugh... I hope most people realize how ineffective this feature is to many people on this site. To people who use winks: If you want to show interest in somebody, send them a message to see if they are interested as well. If not, move on. Post Reply

Posted : 8 Aug, 2011 12:15 AM The wink wouldn't be bad if there were a few to choose from designed to let your intention for sending one be known... something simple, maybe one for "liked yer photo" or " can we chat?" or "let's get married!" lol I don't really know how to respond to them as it is now, it's kinda useless and better to just send a nice hello :winksmile: Post Reply

I usually answer the winks . After reading their Profile First.LOL Usually, a woman will answer a man's wink, if she is interested in knowing more about him. Now, there are a couple I did not answer after I looked at their profile.:excited: Now, I block no photos men, it says on my profile do not contact me without a Photo. DUH.. Many do not Read profiles, just look at Pictures here. lol Post Reply

Posted : 16 Aug, 2011 01:56 PM I use the winks, sometimes I'm just getting ready to log off and i catch somebody's profile and I don't know what to say at the moment so I send a wink and see if they message back. I also use it with people I know just to let them know that I'm thinking about them real quick, I don't spend as much time on here as i used to and I have to get up early for my job so I don't always send a messsage. Posted : 19 Aug, 2012 06:23 PM I don't always know how to start a conversation, however I really want to talk to them... and really read the whole profile and liked what I read. So... in order to break the ice/express interest, I send a wink. Basically in a wink (in Gordyj7 language) it means: "Hey, I read your profile, you seem like a great person, and would love to get to know you. This wink is because you're cute, and seem to have a great personality! Let's talk!" I'm not lazy, I really just don't know how exactly to message, because I don't want to be too boring, or too... well, I've heard females on these sites, get A LOT of messages every day... so, I just don't always know how to write it, or randomly come up with things. Yes, I do read the whole profile, but no, I am really not lazy... the wink is just to send the signal that you seem cool. I don't expect a message, but if she winks back, then it gives me the idea that okay, we are on the same page, so I send her a message. That's all. lol Post Reply
