Though I might need to move out of the country, would never be voted for again, would surely be hated by contemporaries, and be mocked for years as taking this country down... balancing the budget isn't the hard part. It''s balancing the budget while saving my political neck that is difficult. Every tax and every cut has an affect on individuals and the nation. Politicians know that. But so does doing nothing. Just not as quickly or in a way that will so completely destroy their political careers. Post Reply

View Profile History	See if You can... Posted : 4 Aug, 2011 04:44 PM ruhamah, Way to go! My only "BEEF" would be those Defense Cuts and Reductions. While there certainly is a Lot of Waste in our Defense Budget and it could use some Paring Down... ...I would be Very Careful not to Weaken Our Military. There are Wolves waiting for any opportunity to Attack us and Hurt us. As Christians we are Mandated by God to be Strong and Ever Viligant and to Protect the Weak. This "Arab Spring" is a Testament to what we have Accomplished in Iraq (with their New Found Freedom and Democracy) and how the Neighboring Muslim Communities see that and Now also want the same. The Dictators of these countries spent a lot of money and sent a lot of men in hopes of STOPPING our Efforts in Iraq for FEAR of just what is now Happening. It was Our Military and The Blood of Our Men and Women that is Changing the Face of The Middle East! We need to Continue Supporting them and their Efforts. Post Reply

Hopefully our next President will "take the Bullet" (not literally) for Our Country and start the Process of returning to being Fiscally Responsible. Post Reply
