Neither is limited to online or "real" situations, because I've experienced both in a variety of settings. 1) It bores me to tears (well, not literally) when a guy answers every question with a very vague, non-committal answer. You know the type of answer I'm talking about, the one that allows him to change his position to whatever is needed just in case I don't agree with him. Along the same lines is a guy who never has an opinion on anything. Come on guys...grow a spine and have an opinion about something, even if I DON'T agree with you! At least we can have a conversation about our disagreements! 2) I get bored very quickly if a guy forces me to lead every conversation. While I don't mind asking him questions, bringing up topics, etc., it does start to feel like I'm interrogating him after a while when all I get are one-word or one-sentence responses. It's like hitting a tennis ball across the net, and the guy just stands there...maybe he hits at it once in a while if it comes right at him, but he never makes any effort to go after the ball and hit it back to me...I have to keep retrieving it and hitting it at him again and again. I'd get tired of that really fast, and the same goes for that type of "conversation". Post Reply

I am speaking to a man online and he is always happy to provide me with an answer to my questions, which means I am getting to know him but he is yet to ask me a question about myself. I have already commented that our conversation is more like an interview, thinking he would get the hint. Seems like i am going to have to spell it out to him or give up. Post Reply
