For a long time, I wanted my special guy to get down on one knee in a super romantic spot, produce a diamond ring, and ask "Will you marry me?" Yep. Corny. Too much like a fairy tail. And as I've gotten older, I've started picturing him with creaky knees that can't quite make it all the way down or up if he tried to actually get down on one knee! I've also pictured a proposal where the guy plans out an elaborate evening, or even a whole day, that leads up to the special moment when he declares his undying love for me and asks me to make him the happiest man in the world by agreeing to marry him. Of course, if the day/evening was THAT elaborate, I'd probably see the proposal coming and get all nervous and flustered and not be able to even answer "yes" properly. SO...now that I'm "older" and more "mature", I'll just settle for however the guy wants to propose. Preferably, he'll keep it simple and sincere, but if a guy ever DOES propose, I'm pretty sure I won't care HOW he does it. Post Reply

Going down on one knee would be good, since I didn't get that the first time. Something romantic and being surprised would be good. Post Reply
View Profile History	Will you marry me? Posted : 19 Jul, 2011 08:31 AM I'll share this with you guys, I've heard of a proposals from friends of a friend. This one guy had been trying to pick a fight with his girlfriend all week he kept haggling at her every time he met her and it used to frustrate her to no end just because they hardly ever fought. This sent warning bells through her mind because she had always envisioned marrying him. Then one day she sat him down to talk about their future and he started in on her again. She was close to tears announcing that this may not work. She turned to leave and as he called her name she turned around. He was sown on one knee with the smallest diamond ring you could imagine. He told her that he just wanted to throw her off and distract her soi she would be really suprised. He asked her to marry him and she said yes. She told all her family and friends showing off her itty bitty ring. She didn't care. Later that night he proposed again, he loved her even more for not caring about the size and being so proud to wear his ring. he pulled it off her finger and said that too was a decoy and pulled out a beautiful sizeable engagement ring. They'r still happily married today. Post Reply
