Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Have you seen a virtuous woman, or one that matches the description in Proverbs 31?

Do you try to live virtuously?

Yes! God blessed me with having a virtuous neighbor! :) She is like another grandmother to me. Ironically, she has lived beside my biological grandmother all my life, since I live in my grandmother's house, we are now neighbors. :)

I didn't realize it as I was growing up, but having her in my life as a mother-figure probably saved me from going down some terribly bad roads. It is because of them, I began going to church as a child. She and her husband would come pick me up. :) She would make me dresses and she taught me how to sew, crochet (although I've forgotten), bake things from scratch, grow a garden, etc. I could go on and on and on about all the virtuous things she taught me but I'm most thankful for her guidance towards God and her unconditional love.

For me, I think the fact that she taught me all of that without me ever realizing it, sets her apart. Does that make any sense? It's effortless for her. Natural even.

She is who I want to be. She is the prime example of a virtuous woman in my life. She is the closest I've seen as a Christ-like life. :) I love her very much! :)

That's so wonderful, T! I'm glad you have a virtuous woman in your life, your neighbor sounds very sweet, it's amazing how there are people the Lord shows as an example of his love, they are overflowing with it, and for seemingly no reason at all, we give glory to God. My great grandmother was probably my best example of a virtuous woman, she was kind and loving, overflowed with love for her family. She took care of my mom when she was ill, and helped raise us, with our great grandfather, but it was her love in particular which shined through. She said to my mom "Come, stay out here and get better." She did everything she did with love, she was a hard worker, loved the Lord, very strong in the feminine sense of the word. She came from a time where there wasn't divorce and it just wasn't done, she married my great grandfather at sixteen and stayed married until she passed away.

So I definitely have seen virtuous, kind women. My mom is definitely one of them, loves the Lord, I've had good examples in my life.

Sadly I haven't had a good male figure in my life, my dad wasn't really in my life, when he was he would always leave some amount of hurt. My great grandfather wasn't there for my family really, I've had no examples of leading males in my life, so there was always that void there. I eventually just had to rely on things pastors have said, or that my mom had told me to better understand men, because I didn't learn about men from my father, there was no protection or security there.

Isn't God wonderful?! He's placed these women in both our lives for His purpose..to give us excellent role models. :) And even though we might not have had positive male father figures in our lives, He can fill that void for us. He's so awesome like that!! Haha! :)

"strong in the feminine sense of the word" -- I like that a lot! :)

I hope your mother has made a full recovery. :)

Love ya! :D

I think both of you are Virtuous Women. Probably somewhere down the road there will be 2 young people sharing about what a Godly impact You had on their lives!

Oh chevy! That brought a tear to my eye! Thank you very much! I'd be honored for God to use me to help someone in the same way I was helped. :)

yes virtuous women are rare,i am grateful to God for my mum,she is one of a type, she has gone through soo much in life but the most encouraging is that she has become strong ,so strong that even when major stuff happens, she got no worry, she is like a willow tree in fierce winds, she keeps saying if God for us who can be against us,i have grown to learn soo much from my mum,she has taught me how to be prayerful and in all to give thanks, not to worry for Christ liveth,am truly thankful to God for my mum,she has helped me to keep on the straight path,
