2Sparrows started this game, and I'm bringing it back.

You find a Bible verse that contains (somewhere in it) the last word of the verse before yours.

I'll start: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Now, the next person to post finds a verse and that has "purpose" somewhere in it.

Rom 14:8 ~ For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

1Peter3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears open to their prayers. But the Lord's face is against those who do evil.

:applause: Double post! Great minds think alike. I am going to take "pursue" as the next word, rather than "it"

I will scatter you among the nations and will draw out my sword and pursue you. Your land will be laid waste, and your cities will lie in ruins.

Leviticus 26:33

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Use the word "turn" as the next word to follow.

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine a$$ may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
