Nice Guys!!Posted : 9 Sep, 2010 07:31 PMI describe myself as a nice person and I think most of the women on here that have conversed with me that that is true. I don't approach a woman and say "I'm nice." But just in general I'm a nice guy. I have a huge heart and perhaps care too much. I try to show others that they matter and that sometimes comes across that I'm soft and weak. Again I don't openly claim to be nice unless I'm describing how I see myself when asked. I still think nice guys get the short end of the stick way too often. |

Nice Guys!!Posted : 10 Sep, 2010 07:28 AMJust as simple as it is, a nice guy is not always the right guy. No women seem not interested in him doesn't mean that those women are really not interested in him. Maybe age, location, preferences, etc determine the women's action to show interest to the guy, or those women wait on the guy to make the first move. Possibly =) |

Nice Guys!!Posted : 10 Sep, 2010 09:45 AMGood point...there are a lot of nice guys...and just "being a nice guy" doesn't make you perfect for someone. Technically, we should all be "nice guys" anyway. |

Nice Guys!!Posted : 11 Sep, 2010 10:50 AMThat is what I was getting at when I started the post. What woman wants to spend 50 years wearing the pants? Women never respect these men and ALL men require respect. Also, the intimacy in the relationship suffers. Women are not sextually attracted (even christian women) to push overs. Please know that I am not talking about a man who is an ogre either. I am talking about a man who knows God has called him to be a servant leader in the home and he is not embaressed or apolegitic about his role. He knows that only God can help him to have the right kind of balance (without abusing the power given to him) and so he leans and trusts the Lord with all his heart, soul and mind. He is always asking God for wisdom to lead his family well. He devoures the word of God to know to hear the voice of his father on how to be a good leader in the home... |

Nice Guys!!Posted : 11 Sep, 2010 07:31 PMI think I would be a good leader and would be willing to help guide or lead my wife but I don't want to come across like I think she's dumb or that she can't figure anything out on her own. If she has a question I'll answer but I won't assume that she doesn't know and therefore just always be telling her this that and whatever. I am one that thinks a should be able to me and she should be able to her and the two of us should be able to just come together and gel...granted there may be issues/arguments, but anywho...I think I can be a pushover but i think a lot of it has to with turning the other cheek. things may bother me but I'll turn the other cheek and let it go...but at the same time I would defend my girl and my family!! I see myself very much filling that role that is similar to the main character in the Kenny Rogers song "Coward of the County". Check it out and see what you think and let me know...kind of curious now what you ladies may think about a "nice guy" like that. |
