LTM,

Prov 1:5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.

If you are a wise man, you might consider hearing from those who do have the answers and understanding that you are lacking. Instead, over and over you try to diminish those who do have knowledge of the Word. It ends up being your loss.

"Anyone who self professes "feminism" is adopting the cultural definition by default."

This was my take as well

What??? Clearly y'all don't know what feminism really is. This is all much ado about nothing! Some here apparently are expanding the basic definition of feminism into something that it is not.

Jesus was a feminist. He treated women way better than His contemporaries. Come on folks. Take a close look at how Jesus treated women of His day. Look at the women closest to Him in His ministry. God values all of us, male and female!

I guess this goes back to why I said feminism needs to be defined. Read TBK's post for clarification. If you are going to claim to be a feminist....most are going to assume it is the cultural definition of feminism. There is no reason to adopt the phrase. Jesus wasn't a feminist. He simply was who He was. Sure women had equal standing in grace, but that doesn't make Him a feminist. Why adopt a term from the culture that doesn't fit Jesus?

What is wrong with claiming to be a feminist?

It's been said a few times in here now. Now, I can't help but think you are coming at this emotionally because it has certainly been explained. You now ask the question of "what is wrong" as if it hasn't been addressed.
