Posted : 7 Mar, 2009 10:29 AM I run across women who are looking for guys who are deeper than a puddle but when they encounter someone who is "nice" they tend to shy away.... why is that? So that's my question what's more important what a guy looks like or who he truly is on the inside? Post Reply

Posted : 3 Dec, 2009 03:53 PM Sorry Leon (Klmartin), but I have to disagree, To class all physical attraction as lust is overly simplistic, and misunderstands both terms. We have well defined, undeniable biological functions that react to others, which we class as 'physical attraction'. This is designed into us at every level, from pheromone reaction, to pupil dilation, and lots of other things our bodies do to indicate to ourselves and others that we're attracted. It's what we call 'chemistry', and it's a very real part of what we're made to be, physically and psychologically. To say that his is inherently 'wrong' is to question God's design. Lust is a sin, meaning it's a deliberate consideration/thought, which may or may not lead to an action. Note that Jesus says that even if we 'think' of a sin, it's a sin. Thought's are BASED on instinctual reactions, but are not the same thing. Lust is not attraction - it's what happens when you don't deal with that attraction properly. God made beautiful women for a reason, and I'm SO glad he did :) Of course, I only want one - I don't know who she is, but I'll know when I meet her. (Hopefully so will she, or it could get really awkward :P) If I don't see her inner beauty, it won't go past a year. If I don't see physical attraction, it won't go past friendship. 'Chemistry' is there, it's undeniable, it's useful, and as long as we don't let it rule us, it's a good thing. Post Reply

Posted : 6 Jul, 2011 04:23 PM sounds like you may be going after the "pretty" girls, who are used to getting things by the way they look and never developed a personality. if you pursued quality girls, you would get quality results.
