Posted : 7 Jan, 2011 04:59 PM i have dated a multi millionaire but he was very down to earth and jet setted (is that a word?) me everywhere.(a long time ago) the word NO was not in his vocabulary, well not in his realm of comprehension i should say. he said he would give me anything I wanted except he couldnt marry me. he bought me a huge diamond ring and told me to come live in his home on the canal in Florida (multi million dollar home) I would have a new top of the line bmw waiting for me. the thing is...I'm not a materialistic person so those things dont phase me but it's funny how he would have gone through all this money to keep me but because I say NO, he couldnt accept it. Living in acres of lands and have more than 5 cars, a trailer and a boat. Eating kaviar and stuff. He was one of the most humble person I've ever met to be honest. Of course with a good heart. Now not all men/ people with money are selfish but there is this one guy I know. He really liked me and I did contemplate dating him before. Not because of his wealth but because of our common interests. He is business minded as I am. I almost helped him launch a clothing line at one point. After spending a bit of time with him because of the business plan I started to realize how all he cared about was money. He didn't care about helping any one but his self. Now my boyfriend is poor! Once I had a surprise huge bill I had to pay right away. He actually lent me his whole pay check. I was able to pay it back over the next few days but it was a chance on his part. If I did not pay him back he would not had his rent money. Food and so on. Now once again not all people are the same of course but in my experience a lot of poor people can be very giving. But it all comes back to the person's personality I guess, there are many people who have nothing yet are still stingy, thinking "what would I have left if I gave my money away".
