I also understsnd that many want the more personal contact of hearing the person's voice. I think of it like this, if a guy sees me and comes up to me to speak and shake my hand, that is wayyyy more personal than over the phone (especially when I block my number if I call, so he can't call or harass me if the call doesn't go well) I think some guys also ask this because they find it less 'in your face' than asking for the woman's number outright. It puts the ball in the woman's court. It empowering the woman at the same time getting the contact the man wants. Post Reply
