Hi, Nice to Meet You, But Don't Look at My Stomach

I am curious how much of a turn-off the spare tire is on a guy (spare tire = unsightly excess weight around your stomach). I've been working out for months and eating right, but this is the most difficult area to lose weight in. It's unfortunate, but when the rest of your body looks ok, the one problem area sticks out in comparison.

it would be a turn off for me if it matched with some feebleness in man's character (his guts/stomach are associated with spirit..if the spirit is strong..):yay:

I think it would depend on the man. If the man was a slob, or as some have said insecure, then yes, it would most likely be a turn off.

However, if the man tries to take reasonable care of himself, and is confident in who he is, then generally I do not notice that as much.

SilverFire you look good to me, inside and out. I am more atracted to the personality first. It takes me getting to know some one a bit before I notice the out side. I have had slender to over sized boyfriends. Aside from the guy being unhealthy size is not a big deal.

Do what makes you happy. You can not please every one so why try? A good lady will like you for the smart, loving man that you are.

Silver, as you can see, for the most part women love despite, instead of and beyond the physical. Yall are the ones (men) that be trippin'. :boxing:

I prefer big guys. If I feel I can can beat him down myself, I won't feel like he can protect me, somethin go down.. My ex is super swole (muscular) and that was fine, but I also have dated a guy with a gut. He was like a big cuddly bear.

Wow ..this is kind of nerve racking to me. I am overweight and unless someone is like 300-400 pds it doesn't bother me. It also depends on how someone carries themselves. Now I feel as though I cannot find someone due to the responses of this post. I guess I am doomed to be alone because I am overwieght. So sad If they are a Christian and are clean and carry themselves well, i don't see a problem.
