It may come out in the end that the married guy had to cover his butt to his wife and say you were hitting on him and what would your spouse say to that? why didn't you tell me then? secondly I would expect to handle it myself in a calm hush hush manner. if he strongly persisted and would not stop that is when your big strong man should step in :) Most men love to be the hero anyway just not when it's unnecessary drama.
