I work at Trader Joes (a supermarket.) During the course of a day, many times, we will carry someone's groceries out to their car because they're unable. Whether it's a 300+lb. linebacker with a tore up shoulder, or a little old lady, we'll help you out to the car. I've noticed that when women point out their car, they identify it by color first. Which is fine, however, I'm colorblind. So saying it's the gray one in a lot with three hundred cars doesn't work for me. So I ask them what kind of car they have. At which point, they say "I don't know." The guys 9/10 times know the make and model. So I ask you ladies, how do you identify your car? How would you tell yours from an identical one? What if it got stolen, what would you tell the police to look for? And overall, why not learn the make and model of a car? Not all cars, just your own?

I forgot the make of my car just last night!

"Uh....it's....Dodge...er...Plymouth...um...Chrysler...*cough*...one of those...!!"

I hope that doesn't make me less of a man. I'd be able to point it out easily enough though.

"The white Acclaim that is almost as old as I am. Yeah, that's right...'the granny car'...nice observation, bag boy. No tips for you..."

But! I was able to figure out how to adjust my serpentine belt yesterday. All by myself with no previous experience/instruction! Maybe that will redeem some of my manliness...

You get a lot of points back for working on your car, but you're still in the negatives for not knowing the make.

Yeah yeah...but I'm a painter/construction worker, and I can fix computers like nobody's business...*GRUNT* I'm a MAN!! I'm gonna stop bragging now:laugh:. But I think I should get a free pass on the make, especially since all three companies make an exact same model, just with a different name. Dodge Spirit, Plymouth Acclaim, and Chrysler Lebaron. I'll blame it on memory:goofball:.

Hey there,

Well, you have me on the color...because I will say the cute little pink 93 F150 stepside over yonder. There is never another one like it in the parking lot.

She was the first car I ever bought and still has the original clutch she came home with that day in 93. I keep thinking on buying a new car....but can't find anything I like any better.

I am thinking that after graduating with that doctorate this next year it might be time to get her a new paint job and upholstery though. Suggestions and ideas would be appreciated.

Oh this is easy...2006 blue hyundai elantra. Gym bag, little girl toys, and booster seat in the back seat. Heck I even hit the unlock button for the person helping me ( that makes the head lights flash):glow:

Haha I agree with you here! Even tho I'm bad at recognizing the make/model of other cars, I am proud to say that I do know my own car. It's interesting you'd bring that up..someone cld definitely get away with stealing ur car if u didn't know how to identify it..Never really thought about that..
