Ethnicity an issue even here??

It's rather unfortunate that I should even have to resort to posting a topic such as this but I can't help but wonder if this is a relative issue on cdff. I'd like to know (and please be completely open and honest) if ethnicity/race plays a major part in whether or not you ladies on here give a gent the time of day. The bible says that God is no respect of peesons but it seems on here it's a different story. How much of it is a preference or just a downright unwillingness to date outside of ones race? Just curious.

1Tim 2:9-10 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

This seems to state the opposite of what you said.

Hello Lance, my name is Linda and I have been on this site for a couple of months and I have to tell you that I have messaged several men of color and have not received a reply from them so I feel the issue is on their side. I am color blind.

On the other hand I have tosay that I doubt the sincerity of most of the men on this site. If a photo is not includedI am willing to read what they say but when they have so little to say with many blanks I exit their profile immediately because I feel they are scammers.

Then there is the meat market sentiment there that somehow we women have to meet their standards of attraction without going past a photo. When I messagesomeone a quick note curious about the area they live in (I travel for work) if I get a reply it's usually sorry I don't think we would be a good match.. Hello, what did I miss? What made them think I was interested in them other than the area they live in basic communication.

So the upshot of it all is, it's not race, it's communication.

Good luck my friend and if you see someone you think is great and they don't even have the courtesy to reply, well you just found out that they are not as good as their picture!:ribbit:

I agree with many others on here its a preference..I also think GOD has picked out a few that you may be good with and you and the other person have to decide for yourselves. God will not make that choice and he will not go against anyones will..I would prefer if I meet someone outside of my racethat, that person would feel totally comfortable with the person I am and if that person is uncomfortable with my race its best not to pick that one or them pick you..And if you are wondering if race is an issue in other ladies choosing you well honestly you should not let it get to you..Sometimes on these sites you can have one disappointment after another. But I like the way computers have made a way for so many of us to connect. I think if one keeps on dating and meeting new people and not give up eventually you will meet a really good life partner....Happy connecting everyone!!

Blessings Donna

I married out of my race and did not feel guilty at all! I married a Navajo, & I am a W.A.S.P.....it worked out fine. We were both christians. I have beautiful children. God has blessed them. It is NOT an issue w/me. I don't care if one color marries another color, but the most important thing is that they are both christians. God bless, to each their own...they have their 'conviction' or preference in their heart.

I just think that it's natural & more common that people who grew up with their own culture prefer the opposite sex within their own race, despite pressure from anti-racist propaganda or from interracial fetishes becomin a thing... but then again that's the case with the WORLD. When it comes to the CHURCH, it's obvious that what matters more is that one have true faith & live piously, but even then a lotta people have the same preferences, but I do not see that as a bad thing; God is Sovereign and made each people with particular traits and desires.

In my experience it's people that grew up in multi-racial environments who don't care, they don't see race not because of propaganda or whatever's popular in the Media, but just because that's how they grew up, although it can be both: that they honestly feel they don't care about race yet they've been indoctrinated by hardcore liberalist democratic principles so are always talking about how Caucasians have been horrible historically and love it when they get together with someone from another race. I dunno, Seattle's weird (although even in predominantly-Caucasian Eastern Washington I've discovered the interracial fetish thing appearing there, because hip-hop is becoming popular with the females); with the World I've seen a lot of Caucasian women hook-up with African Americans but not the other way around, because it seems African-American guys like that Caucasian women have "softer", nurturing personalities and they're finding them more attractive too it seems than women of their own race, and with the Caucasian women it's like I said become a fetish for them, they seem to think it's impressive. Before I was Christian I dated some Caucasian girls and found out they were like that, it made me ill.

BUT, since coming into the Church in 2007, I may not have noticed a whole lot of interracial marriages but when I do it's obvious the _difference_ between them and those in the World; they're pervaded by _holiness_ and _innocence_ as opposed to depravity. As a Latino I personally still prefer Latina women, but I'm open to God's will.
