Posted : 3 Jun, 2010 01:31 PM Marikashome, I don't know how picky the profiles have been that you mentioned but wouldn't you say that this would be the place to be picky? You don't really get to be so picky with actual people around you because you have to go out with them to learn about them. Here you learn some about them first. Wouldn't you say be picky here allows you to weed out those you wouldn't go out with more than 2 or 3 times anyway? Just curious, bama Post Reply

Posted : 4 Jun, 2010 09:07 PM My guess is that people tend to get a lot more views when they use the chat forum. The reason they get more views and less winks or messages is that people way outside your age range may be looking at your profile. It is difficult to know how old or young some people are by their pics. So you may seem like the perfect guy to ladies that read some of your comments on the forum, but then they go to your profile and discover that there are 15-20 years between you. You may also get more views because you ask about your profile on the forum, and people view it to see what it DOES say. If it makes you feel any more comfortable, part of my job is marketing. So if anyone should be able to build a profile that gets lots of hits, I'd think I should. Yet I get maybe 5-10 views a day, maybe one or two winks, and maybe one inquiry message. But I'd never meet that many new people that might be interested and compatible on the street in the same amount of time. Post Reply

But maybe they are lurkers? I get about a page full of views a day... so like, 25ish? Before my latest profile revision, I would get around a 1/2 dozen winks on average per day probably and a few messages... anywhere from like 3 to 20ish depending upon the day. Things have finally slowed down for me now. I really don't know what I was doing before to get so much interest. I mean, it's not like I'm that attractive and I can be slightly mouthy and quirky on the forums sometimes. Post Reply
