Tough or Coward??

Hey ladies, just posing a question for you.... When looking for guy, are you more attracted to the tough/outlaw kind of guy or are you more into the Coward? Now let me explain "the coward". Kenny Rogers had a song call "Coward of the County" and in that song there is a young man who is considered a coward, yet when push comes to shove he makes a strong stand for his girl. The first appearance of this kind of guy is that he is perhaps weak and not strong enough to "protect" you. However, he is perhaps more of a gentle bear that when pushed, will protect his family. So I guess my actual question is...

When looking for a guy, will women look for the tough guy first or is there that instant that a women can see the gentle bear for what he is?

Hope this makes sense and isn't crazy talk, haha!!

I look for a guy who can protect me when need be. I look for a guy who would do anything for me.

I recently read a study where they actually tested this queston based on looks. They took a picture of a man's face and changed some of his more masculine features to make him look softer, almost more femenine. They found most women found the femenized version more attractive.

The women said he looked like he would be more gentle and loving; the real picture of him looked like a tough guy-too hard, possibly mean/threatening.

It was obviously psychological, but I think you can see where I'm going here.

We girls (I can only speak for all the women I have ever known and me), when sizing up guys, have a knee-jerk reaction when looking at a dude who is trying to come across Chuck Norris-like, or all cool-geesh, here we go again, another large child who wants to look like a stud.

Of course we do not want a wimp, but any man can be seen as strong and sexy when his character does the talking (provided he has it in him!) Confidence is hot. We would take the sweet teady bear type over the arrogant, macho type any old day! Chivalry certainly helps, too...being treated like a lady makes us feel like princess!

( tough guy first or is there that instant that a women can see the gentle bear ) I will look for both in a man, he has to be strong enough to handle life, and gentle when the time is needed..
