However, if i lived in some of these foreign countries i would move to USA so that my future family would have a better life, just like my ancestors before me. Post Reply

Posted : 7 Dec, 2009 09:46 PM well, isaac's wife rebekah had to come from the land of abraham far away..she had to leave her place of residence to go with the servant to where isaac's land was to be married and look what she ended up with! so it is biblical as a woman to go where your future husband will be...however, there were conditions: isaac was going to be her HUSBAND, not just some boyfriend etc, abraham sent a servant that he trusted FOR HER to be brought back..Laban was a symbol of the Holy Spirit from the "Father" Abraham to go out in search of isaac's wife, found her, and brought her back, so the Rebekah had the protection, guidance, and cover of Laban, or "Holy Spirit" for her groom! plus, Rebekah had her father/family sort out the details with Laban and she left them prepared for the travel back, and her heart was ready to be united in marriage since she took care of Laban and his camels in genuine service (Gen 24) this is just one example so it's not a case ALL the time, but there is an example of a woman leaving her home country (as well as Ruth) to go for her husband and be blessed by the move! :) Post Reply

Having had a couple long distance relationships I have had the opportunity to decide if I am willing to have another. The question I had to ask myself is (and I think everyone on this site should prayerfully consider this) "am I willing to move away from my life and/or family if I feel that this is the person God has for me?" It is not fair to toy with others at a distance if you truly have no intention of moving. Honesty is still the best policy, but knowing ones own limits is the hardest part of that honesty. While I have never moved out of the country I have moved a few states away. I think if you have a strong friendship and know in your heart it has potential for a long term relationship then why not. The other person has to be open minded , independent and strong. You have to be ok with the person needing you because I am sure you will be the only person he or she knows. I would say meet a few times make sure its what you both want and go from there :) Post Reply

Remember that God has a plan for each of our lives and He wants us to trust Him. To me, it doesn't matter who it is, where they are, if I have to move, or if they do. God will open the right door at the right time, but if we aren't in tune with Him, we may not see it right away. Again, this is just my opinion. Just get out there, talk to people just to talk...remember that God brought Eve to Adam. Your Adam or Eve is out there...just like I know mine is. Post Reply

Posted : 18 Dec, 2009 04:57 AM I believe that if a woman finds the man that God has for her, and they are united in faith and spirit , she will move , and God will provide her the strengthen to face this step. God can do everything, and if we limit our faith we will limit God in our life! Like Rut, when God was in equation, she was fully committed to follow her mother in law, and God provide for her,and she became a ring in a big chain of Christian History! So things are more simple as they look, and has to do with our faith in God, and live by faith not by sight, a leap of faith as Peter did when Jesus walked on waters and ask Peter to join him. The others disciple just looked, but Peter experimented God in a higher level, in his life! Post Reply
