A GODLY WOMAN

The Bible says, Proverbs 14:1 that "The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands, the foolish one tears hers down." Such is abortion and divorce. Women tearing down their house.

The husband of a noble wife is held in honor.

"She brings him good, not harm all the days of her life." (Proverbs 31:12)

I think a godly woman values her husband and values her children and respects THE LORD and respects Bible teachings.

WOMEN, WHAT DO YOU THINK A GODLY WOMAN IS?

TRUE

Women are to be virgins for their first husband.

A widow would not be a virgin.

But there are commands for a man to take his brother's widow and to produce offspring for his dead brother if he died while married and had no son.

Paul seems to bypass that and says that a widow can marry anyone she wishes, only he must belong to THE LORD.

Yes, we all live in sin.

Jesus says that when a man looks lustfully upon a woman, he commits adultery with her in his heart.

Not all of us are like Job making a covenant with our eyes not to look lustfully upon women who are not our wives. So, again and again, we commit adulteries in our heart. While it seems that God did design us that way to crave a woman, we should not entertain thoughts with women that are someone else's wife and not our own. One's affection should be for one's own.

But yes, there is one form of living in sin and another.

In the Bible, a girl is to be presented a virgin to her first husband, and many young women are no longer virgins for their first husband today nor do they marry the guy they first slept with or the guy that first entered them. So, no one much follows the teachings of the Bible anymore. True, a girl should go to HER FIRST. (Exodus 22:16 and Deuteronomy 22:28-29) If a virgin is pledged to a man (Deuteronomy 22:23-27) then the man she is pledged is first.

But the subject here is what women think, and what the ladies think a godly woman is?
