This seems like a red flag to me, and that being yoked with a Christian should outweigh the race of the man. What is the opinion of the Filipina Christian women on this topic? Post Reply

There is corruption from the top to the bottom. I knew a few guys who live over there with their wives and they tell me that it isnt unusual for the police to pull over a vehicle that has a foreigner in it. They are looking for "coffee money". The US and most of Europe are a political, economic, and social paradise compared to the RP. Post Reply
View Profile History	Filipina Only Date a Foreigner Posted : 16 Sep, 2013 10:08 PM As a filipina,I'm deeply sad and feel bad while reading this forum.I can't blame you for thinking negative about filipino women but I guess,as a christian who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ and who loves the Lord will not easily judge other people..I am 47yrs old now,never been married and If the Lord's will that I will marry ,at present,I prefer caucasian.Why??I guess,my height at 5'7" ,I can't easily find a filipino guy who is taller than me.And besides,most filipino men are attracted to fair skinned complexion and I have a tan or brown skin.When I was in the Phils,my Fil-Am friend introduced me to a Seminary student from bay area,french-american.He was a potential husband and we get along very well.Why,I didn't marry him??I want to marry somebody out of love,not even a Green card can get me to marry himSo,please,don't generalize that all filipino women wants money,green card or whatever.Ask the Lord's wisdom before anything else.God bless Post Reply

My point in asking the question was really more about a Christian perspective: meaning--- As a Christian our heart is to walk in fellowship with another Christian. I was curious about your culture and just asked an informative question. I in no way meant to give the impression that filipina's are out looking to marry for money. There are differences in cultures and I have learned some things, like the tone of the skin, seeming to make a difference. I have heard that mentioned by other filipina's and have been quite surprised? Thank you for taking the time to reply. I hope that I changed your sadness at this post to a smile. Pete Post Reply

Like a lot of my friends who only date foreigners for the reason that they didn't grow up in the Philippines. And they belong to the top 10% of the economic pyramid. so, it's not safe to assume that they are after the foreigner's money. Culturally speaking, women are powerful in my country. if you look at marriages where both are filipinos, chances are, the woman has a strong, if not, stronger voice. this is because our culture is generally non-confrontational, and we laugh everything off. issues don't usually get resolved because our culture dictates that we shouldn't confront. so the men remain silent. sometimes, for a woman, this is quite frustrating. but you know, funny as this may sound, we women are built to submit, though sometimes we choose not to. so it's kinda we're looking for a person from a "stronger" culture so we can truly rest as a woman in a relationship. you see, a non-submissive woman is always tired in a relationship setting. a submissive one, however, is reaping the benefits of God's design for a relationship. so yes, speaking from experience, as i had a persian boyfriend, it is different (waaaaay better) compared to being with a filipino. no offense to my fellow country men. you guys make the best of friends ever, but for me, and for my close circle of friends, maybe not as a marriage partner. I have yet to meet a filipino man who is not afraid to confront. Post Reply

Filipinas want to marry foreigners because Filipino men want the Caucasian / Spanish / Chinese looking ones. :p For once, we also want to feel beautiful.
