Having a generous willing heart to give is of the New Testament. Are we to build buildings of the Church as opposed to the Body of Christ/Kingdom God? Money and what we do with it doesn't exist in one sense. It is an extension of our heart. p.s. why only give 10%??? Post Reply

A man who genuinely loves God would tithe, and I will only marry a man who genuinely loves God. There is no 'if' or 'but' about it. Post Reply

Posted : 28 Nov, 2012 01:01 PM AWAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the tithe is the old testament and was not just a portion of money only but other things they owned as well. It was law based. The new testament way of doing things is this: 1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us. and read all of galatians 3 Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Is it any wonder that the bible says that the "love of money is the root of all evil" and that this one particular old testament law is twisted to deceive countless people today? It's no accident. 100% is God's and you do what ever is needed with it, to whomever and whenever. All glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords!!! 2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 2 Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
