Posted : 11 Sep, 2011 04:03 AM The bible states (depending on which version you read) that 'He who finds a wife finds what is good/finds a good thing and recieves favour from the Lord'. God does not lie, and this passage means that in order to find a wife, a man must be favoured by the Lord, or find favour in Gods eyes. So, the fact that I have not found a wife means quite obviously that I am out of favor with God. For whatever reason God is not very happy with me, and is punsihing me and expressing his disfavour by not giving me a wife. Now befoe you go and say 'Ohhh it's alright, God has someone for you blah blah blah.." the thing is that I am now in my 30's and have NEVER had a wife. I have NEVER even had the chance to have a wife (or believe me I would have taken it). The problem now is that I have come to realise that even the most evil wicked men in the world have wives, even though they cheat on them, bash them, kill them etc.. So now I think that God favours murders, serial killers, rapists and pedophiles over me. God shows them favour over me by giving them wives, and me who is supposed to be his loved child etc.. is even worth his time at all. Pretty discouraging, huh? Does anyone else have any other views on this, as this is the logical, scriptural based conclusion that I have drawn based on the evidence. Post Reply

There are plenty of others. But yes it is discouraging and sometimes I feel that God has it in for me too. And sometimes I find myself taking verses out of context too to "support" that. But He does not have it in for you or me. Even though it seems that way sometimes. Post Reply
