Why are we too choosy?
Posted : 1 Jul, 2011 05:19 PM

I usually read in the profiles, why am I online looking for the one for me? Maybe because where we are all singles are either taken, in a relationship or married. But why is it that there are so many profiles yet it is still so very hard for us to find the one? Before, I would only like someone from my own race until I realize it is not about the race or the country where you are but it is in the sincerity of the heart and the truthfulness of the faith. Also, we tend to be too picky, that we give a conclusion about the person by looking at the pictures, reading the profile without even getting to know the person first.

So, do you also wonder why us, Christians, are too choosy and too picky? Until when are you going to be choosy and picky just to make sure the person is the one already for you? (^_~)

no beloved God, with holds no ggod thing from those whose walk is righteous. If you are a back sliden Christian not living for God, not dying to self He wont bless you much according to His word. :)

I haven't read all the replies so forgive me if I'm repeating anything, but I think we're choosy because we're told to be. God doesn't want us to not go to Him with every little thing. He's calling out for us to give Him all of it.

Through prayer and supplication, let all your requests be made known.

Does that mean if we pray for a guy with red hair we will marry a guy with red hair?

Absolutely not.

It means that by telling God what we hope for and desire, by opening up that communication with Him, He is able to mold our dreams. It makes our hearts pliable for Him to work,

What does this have to do with being "too choosy" on here?

Simply this, if we're already going to God with what we desire and we're accepting what He's showing us we'll know what to look for.

And if it's not a heart fluttering moment like Jacob and Rachel, then maybe that's God's way of telling us to move on.
