View Profile History	Finish this question? Posted : 6 May, 2011 12:34 PM I agree with BC except in my case I want to love and be loved by a really great girl. I don't want to spend my life alone. I do think that while yes we should want to get married only if it's God's will and I think that like cobler pointed you you could it to an extreme where we think "if I want this for any other reason then that I'm in error" that is taking it too far in that direction. We have desires (at least most of us) to meet someone, someday get married, and have a family of our own. We have those desires because that is God's plan for us in general, that it is not good to be alone. That doesn't mean that some of us are called to a single life and some called to be married. The question really is am I wanting this in spite of what seems to be God's will for me at this time in my life. If the honest answer is yes then that is when it is wrong. Post Reply

If it�s God�s will to be single, then I will be single. I am single, therefore it must be God�s will and I am wrong for wanting to be married because it�s obviously God�s will for me to be single since I am single. If I was married, then it would be God�s will, unless it was obvious that it was God�s will for me to be single since I was single and I got married simply because I did not want to be alone. They only way you can prove it�s God�s will is if you didn�t want to get married and you just happen to bump into someone and you got married. Of course if I didn�t want to get married, why would I bother asking her out in the first place. It�s all circular logic to �prove� that it�s God�s will that one should stay single if you are single. Posted : 7 May, 2011 12:48 AM I want to get married because... ...I have been dreaming about it since I was 5 years old ...I want to have someone to cook dinner for every night ...I am tired of eating every meal in my apartment by myself every night because everyone else is too busy to eat with me ...I am tired of being told that I need an attitude adjustment when I sarcastically reply "Never" to the question "So when are you going to get married/have kids?" and then being told I don't need to get married to have kids (People seriously need to stop asking questions like that) ...I am tired of just being "cute" to guys. I want to be that "absolutely gorgeous" girl that a guy talks about when he is talking about that "special someone" Post Reply

For me, I realize it IS God's Will in my heart and spirit to be married to Someone Barefoot Special, to take good care of her heart, mind, body and spirit as her husband, her "Barefoot Lover, Best Friend and Life in Christ Mate" ... and be blessed to have her do and be the same for me!!! :hearts: If it was OK for me NOT to be married, my heart and spirit would have a peace about it from God, but since that is NOT the case, but, rather, the opposite, I don't have to wonder IF it is God's will for me to one day be a Christian husband again and love my wife like Christ loves all of us, His "bride", His "church", but, rather, just wait for Him to arrange and reveal the WHEN I will be like Adam again and not be alone without that Barefoot Special Someone who loves me like a wife loves her husband in her heart, like I love her like a husband loves his wife in his heart!!! :hearts: Love, Steve Post Reply
