"And since he is your student he has liberty to make statements that are not true concerning scripture?"

Was the early church actually pure? Are we not a flawed people in need of grace?

NRSV, since this issue is near and dear to you, you could start a new thread showing all of the Biblical support for the feminist agenda. We can then discuss the issues there.

Hi yall, back from a long pause... :)

I am a feminine handmaiden of the Lord..with no problem submitting to my Lord and a submitted man of God.

Feminist sounds too much like socialist or communist or bigamist or al those "ists."

I'm with Deborah, Ruth, Esther, Abigail, Sarah and all the cool feminine women of God who knew their standing..along-side of a man. Not under or over..just side by side. :purpleangel:

Joey,

Walking side by side with a man sounds like a good place to be.

So I wounder, How many women would walk side by side with their man through........

Joblessness, dispair, lack of leadership, ego and pride, selfrighteousness, anger etc

And remain faithful devoted wives who continue beside their husbands in the worst of times.

The same goes for men as well.

Since you are widdowed I am sure you have but how many here have such strength? Men and women.....

Unfortunately I think too many have been brainwashed into thinking they deserve only the best and if things aren't going well then to jump ship rather than fix them - just take the lyrics of a Madonna song for this attitude!

I don't have a problem committing to marriage but I genuinely worry that it's her who won't be committed, and sadly I think this is more likely to be the case for western women who don't see being the best wife they can be as a priority (such low aspirations, dear!) and pass on that desire to their daughters.

As we treat the Lord is how we treat a mate. I was always trying to improve my relationship with the Lord and my mate.

It takes dying to self and all these rights people think they have in this wanting things society we live in.

I have my share of schools if hard knocks I've been too and the Holy Ghost school which I am still in daily.
