Alright since the "if men only knew" thread is doing well (and there are alot of good post :) I figured it would be a good time to tell the ladies...

...if women only knew

...tugging up on the kneck of your shirt is only going to keep it there for about 5 seconds until gravity drops it back down

...having coffee with a man wont get you preganat (i borrowed that one lol)

...even though we dont express emotion its there its just not as evident

...we want to be your hero

...we are unimpressed by how bad you can be (only applicable to certain women)

...we really dont get it, so please put the bread crumbs really close together please :)

...creepers arent the ones you got to worry about its the silver tongued devils that will get you in the end.

If women only knew...

... that what women consider a "simple reminder" guys take as "nagging".

... that when a man compliments you and you brush it aside or counter it, it makes him feel as if his opinion doesn't matter.

I will try to think of some more...

Oooh, good ones paschen.

If women only knew...

...that if a man has one or two things that are important to him (such as a truck/car, golf clubs, or even something like a beard), it is flat out cold to ask him to part with it.

If women only knew...

...that EVERYTHING works both ways. In other words, if you have separate toilets and you happen to use his and he had the seat up, put the seat back up when you're done

If women only knew...

...that when a man is cleaning or doing something else you would normally do so that you don't have to, just because he isn't doing it how you would do it doesn't mean he's doing it wrong.

If women only knew...

...men can be fragile too, just in different ways.

Wow. I'm totally stoked by the female posts on this thread. They are dead on and stuff I would have written myself.

...not all men find the same things attractive.

...we're not Superman. We have flaws, weaknesses, insecurities, anxieties, and fears too.

...you get much, much, better responses with honey than with vinegar.

...it's difficult and nerve-wracking to give your heart to someone else, and becoming an instant father is several orders of magnitude more difficult and nerve-wracking.

silverfire: why is it nerve wracking and difficult to give your heart to someone else?

because your afraid to get hurt?

do all men find it nerve wracking and difficult?

Rabbit: do you think the desire to be our "hero" is in ALL men? Or is it just certain ones?

RiverOfLife: It is difficult and nerve-wracking because you don't want to be hurt. Then there is fear of rejection, wondering if you can trust the person, wondering if you have obeyed God to the full (did I do everything I was supposed to?), doubt about yourself (can I do everything that she would like/expects), and even more doubt about yourself (do I really deserve someone like her). Then you wonder if you can commit, wonder if she'll really let you do the things you like doing in 10 years, wonder where the relationship will go (will it all be in vain?), and probably a few more complicated questions. So it's not an easy process.

It is a pet peeve of mine when women ask men to give up things they love. Men need to be responsible and put their husbandly duties as their priority, but they also need time to chill and relax, whether that's going golfing or taking a whole day to go fishing or whatever else it is they love to do and need to do to unwind. It's unfair to expect them to give up everything they love. It's not like women do LOL. And the ones who DO give up the things they love hold it over their husband's head, even though I highly doubt he ever asked her to!

I agree w/ you, cowgirl. It seems like a lot of women expect their husbands to give up so much of themselves, but are unwilling to give up (or spend less time on) their own interests. I have yet to know a woman who gave up recreational shopping to spend more time w/ her hubby.
