I'm sure I'm not the only one who contemplates weddings...(?) even though I may just elope if/when the time comes! Have you thought about what song(s) you want @ your wedding?

If I have a wedding, I want to have Watermark's "More Than You'll Ever Know." Not really a wedding song, but it describes what I want in a best friend/husband.

I'm sure I'll be doing whatever my wife's mother wants when it comes to our wedding, but one of the coolest weddings I was ever at had the bride come in to an acoustic cover of Third Day's "Agnus Dei" by some of their musically-gifted friends. They started the song while she was still outside, and when it kicked into the "ho-o-oly" part, the doors opened and she started walking down the aisle. It sent chills down my spine.

Aw, that sounds neat, Tulip. As far as the bride's mother, hopefully she won't just take over! If I have a wedding, I'm going to be so overwhelmed (and SO not wanting my mom involved!), that I would be happy to have hubby-to-be take over some details!

I don't really have one particular song. Maybe when the day comes I will :)

But talking about weddings, do you consider it as YOUR (the couple's) day and you want to have it your way - your favourite cake, your guests, your music, your style wedding dress etc. or it's your parents who pay and have expectations regarding the guest list, location, music and everything?

I dunno. I haven't permitted myself to think about this lately. I'd probably go with something that was a totally emotional blow-out, though.

My mom says that if I ever get married, I should have "When You Believe" sung during the ceremony. I'm starting to agree with her.

"When You Believe"

Many nights we've prayed

With no proof anyone could hear

In our hearts a hopeful song

We barely understood

Now we are not afraid

Although we know there's much to fear

We were moving mountains long

Before we knew we could

There can be miracles, when you believe

Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles you can achieve

When you believe, somehow you will

You will when you believe

In this time of fear

When prayers so often prove(s) in vain

Hope seems like the summer birds

Too swiftly flown away

Yet now I'm standing here

My heart's so full I can't explain

Seeking faith and speaking words

I never thought I'd say

There can be miracles, when you believe

Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill

Who knows what miracles you can achieve

When you believe, somehow you will

You will when you believe
