While Brandon's trying to figure out what "girl next door" means, I would like to know what the heck "curvy" is supposed to mean. Not block shaped?

Maybe the shape between thin and fat, but not slim?

And I have no idea what the boy/girl next door might refer to what type of person lol.

I'm not sure as gals know any better than you do, Tulip!! :goofball:

I had a difficult time figuring out what to select... I'm not at my ideal weight, but I am very curvy (which I hope is a good thing), so I almost selected "curvy." But I was afraid that could be misinterpreted to mean skinny with a nice chest. And while I am well-endowed in the chest area, I am not skinny. So, I choose the one indicating that I have some weight to lose.

Honestly, curvy could probably describe most women, except for insanely thin ones and super-athletic ones. God made as curvier than our male counterparts =)

What could CDFF could do is have men and women input their measurements and then auto-select a body-type from there! :goofball:

Tulip, Tulip, Tulip. Do NOT refer to a woman as block-shaped!!

NO, it does not mean she is blocky. It means she has some extra poundage that gives her already natural curves added "oomph", without being full-blown overweight or needing to lose more than 10 pounds or so.

Does that help??

So I can assume that any woman who lists herself as "curvy" looks like Kim Kardashian?

haha I also had a problem with this 'curvy' word, not to mention 'voluptuous' LOL. The definitions found in some online dictionaries usually explain them as 'well-proportioned' 'full figured' or 'having pleasant curves' as in opposition to skinny. So I suppose it refers to the areas chest and hips/thighs of a female body as these are typical places where any addictional fat tissue is stored (snd in the beginning I checked exactly this box in my profile, but later I changed it to well proportioned.) However, in the urban dictionary (which I do not reccommend by the way because of the filthy language sometimes used there) says that all these 'big beautiful woman' 'curvy' 'voluptuous' terms are created for ugly fat women to make them feel better. That's mean I'd say. For me the word curvy conveys a positive meaning because this is what grown up women naturally look like, and I as a happy owner of said curves think they are attractive. On the other hand, I know for some people having any addictional fat is like a crime (the chest and the lower back included) so probably the word 'curvy' has all possible bad conotations, like being extremely overweight fat and disgusting. Guys: how do you perceive 'curvy'?

oh Tulip I forgot to say: I've no idea who this Kim K... is but in my view Monica Belucci is kind of curvy. Like, very feminine?

Again -- Tulip, Tulip, Tulip *shaking head back and forth*

No, curvy does not mean Kim Kardashian. She does have curves, yes. But if she were to fill out an online dating profile she would not pick "curvy".

The reason being -- read my other post. "Curvy" girls have natural curves but with some extra pounds also. Extra --- more than what Kim K has.

Jennifer? Possibly. Jen is endowed in her rear, not her chest & otherwise she is endowed very thin. More like Beyonce a few years back.

The word is not specific, but has a wide spectrum of clearance depending on each person's individual perception. I think those that said more padding than a very thin woman in the hip & chest area, hit it on the head.
