I posed this question to the guys. I think they might be shy in answering, reluctant to look shallow.
It's well known that even though we enjoy eye candy just like they do, we find the character commitment, respect and love of a man at the top of the our list. You MIGHT hear a woman say that physical attractiveness is not important, but I have yet to hear a man say that.
That said, what attracts you? What physical attributes grabs your attention?
I answered this question first to break the ice on the guy's side. I'll put my likes up first here as well.
1. A goatee that is well groomed.
2. A bald head and a goatee? Wow!
3. Someone who has a light cologne on would get my attention. (Not physical, but important!)
4. Tall and big. I'm almost 5'9 and voluptuous. I would really like to not feel like I could beat him up if I wanted to.
5. Guys have told me they are attracted to me because I am a red-bone. I am open to a relationship with someone from another race, but within my race, I find dark skin beautiful!
I like confidence in a man, even if he isnt the best looking. I find when a man is confident, it makes him attractive. Now, I'm not talking about arrogance, there is a difference.
There are a few physical attributes that would help.
I love a nice smile, I like 'em tall and I also like when they have some meat on their bones.
I'm just sayin'...I like those things but it's not mandatory.
God probably has a slender shorter man that will be my husband someday just so that I could eat my words, haha.
It's always the things we dont want that God seems to give us and turns out to be perfect, haha but I trust in Him.
I will wonder if any guys are actually going to say anything! :laugh:
I do like the 5 o' clock shadows as well, Nyanda. That rugged look. My ex was/is a EXTREMELY muscular police officer. I couldn't beat him up! :rocknroll: He worked out 5 times a week, but that wasn't it for me.
I agree with you, Rive,r a quiet confidence of being comfortable with oneself is very attractive.
A pretty smile. Someone quick to laugh is attractive as well.

Hmm...one of the first things that attracts me to a guy is his demeanor. I might not even notice his looks at first, but if he is calm, confident, gentle, mature, and kind, then I start to notice other things about him, like his physical appearance.
OK, so for physical attraction: I like someone with dark or red hair (basically not blond...nothing against blonds, but for some reason I don't usually find myself attracted to them).
Slightly scruffy can be attractive, as long as it's a clean scruffy. That 5-o'clock shadow is kinda cute.
Glasses can be attractive on the right guy...makes him look oh-so-smart!
Clean hands/nails that aren't TOO clean and manicured...masculine hands are best, not feminine! I can look at my own feminine hands anytime I want to...I'd rather look at nice masculine hands for a change!
A great smile and laugh, and a deepish speaking voice would also make me take notice rather quickly.
Jeans and boots also get my heart to fluttering. Yeah, that would qualify about 95% of the guys I'm around, so I guess that only works in combination with other characteristics.
Anyway, those are things that physically attracts me to a guy. I'm sure there are other things too, and I'm sure that I could be attracted to a guy with few or none of those characteristics. I do tend to look at a guy's character and personality before really noticing physical things. Oh yeah, I look at him and I might notice if he's cute, ruggedly handsome, or just average, but I won't notice other things until I notice something about his personality that is attractive. It's just the way I'm wired.
I am attracted to the hair, eyes and smile! I really like short hair, but not bald. I don't really like the long hair look for most guys, but on some guys it fits. I also really like the way they smell when they are clean!

I do not care so much about the looks, as long as I fall totally and hopelessly in love with it.
To me, the character makes the ugliest man attractive and the handsomest apalling.
But I have my preferences for the looks:
I adore the Meditarian/Hispanic looks. Love that skin, love the hair on chest, arms, legs... the tiny small golden chain with cross on a male chest...
I was born in the wrong country as I do not like blonde, blue eyed men but I�d like to think that God took care of that.... I live in Brazil now: a my kind of guys everywhere country.
But good looking is not at all important to me for a relationship. It might even bother me.

and speaking of which. Some men have just so incredible handsome faces. It is that perfect, imense beauty that I cannot take my eyes off. The face of Andy Garcia for instance. I do not know the man, hardly seen any film of him but his face.... even now when he is much older....it still has exceptional beauty.

I know we are Christian, saved and full of the Holy Spirit. I'm not talking about lust. I am intrigued by that 'thing' that makes a person sexy to us. It is so strange how I can think someone is absolutely adorable, and someone else does not.
It is also interesting how we as women closely tie a man's demeanor and how he treats us to his physical attractiveness.
In Legends of the Fall, I thought Brad Pitt was so pretty, he should have been a girl. But since the whole Jen, Angelina thing, he has not been that attractive to me. Fascinating, the character attractiveness connection.

Physically ...um ok I like rugged. Gimme a man who's a manly man without the temper. He has that certain walk that says "I know who I am, where I'm going, and what I want". I wish I could explain it better...he looks you in the eye and has a grip to his hand shake.
Eye color,skin color and the rest ..eh no biggie.
Though I have gotten whiplash from noticing a nice butt.:nahnah:
I also have a thing for men with tattoos (I blame my harley upbringing as a child) ...as long as they have meaning..nothing is a bigger turn off for me than some naked chick on a man's bicep. He doesn't need a female in his life...he's wearing her.
