Admin	"Let's talk Politics!" Posted : 26 Apr, 2010 10:46 PM How do you Ladies (and Gentlemen) feel about the direction our President and the Democrats are taking this coluntry? Specifically towards a Socialist Government (such as in Europe). Do you agree that it is a good thing or do you feel it is a bad thing and why do you think that they are trying to do this? This is very important folks! We are looking at the possibility of paying 40% of our income to the government. November is when we will let the Democrats know if we are going to stand by and let them do what they will. So...what are your thoughts? :boxing::ribbit::boxing: Post Reply
View Profile History	"Let's talk Politics!" Posted : 26 Apr, 2010 11:27 PM I feel quite vomity about it all really. I disagree with Socialism and think that it is most definitely a bad thing. I think our President and Congressmen (and women) are doing this because it is a worldly, ungodly thing to do and most of them are worldly, ungodly people. It shows a complete lack of respect for the principles outlined in the founding documents of our country, the principles that define our country and which the citizens of our country should support and defend. It also exhibits a gross misunderstanding of the best ways to govern a society. I really think that those who want to be Socialists ought to move to Socialist nations rather than trying to corrupt the US. Post Reply

Posted : 26 Apr, 2010 11:43 PM socialism, communism, capitolism, and any other form of government are a bunch of things that sound good on paper, but in reality are run by greedy power hungry ones that have all the money and would stomp on their grandmother's throat if it meant they could get more. Absolutly none of it has anything to do with what's good and right for the people. which is why i wish ralph nadar would be president. Post Reply

Not to mention that we will go bankrupt in a few years. As of right now 53 % of the population is paying for the other 43 % (which pays no Taxes!). The money we have borrowed from China and Japan and others is being paid only by the interest. We are only paying the interest on it. In a few years that interest will be almost One TRILLION dollars a year. We take in in taxes around 900 Billion a year. That's like having bills that total 1000 dollars a month and your income is 900 dollars a month. TROUBLE! But this President ddoes not care! Post Reply

The thing though is that with a True Democracy their is a "Checks and Balance" when both parties have a relative equal amount. One party is not dominant and csn "ram" their veiws down the others throat. Our system of Democracy is what every country in The World looks up to as the standard. It is where everyone wants to come and live and we are what the "bad guys" want to bring down. Post Reply

Every system is overworked and strained and runs poorly. The people that do work are way overtaxed and their is no real incentive to make money. Those that are lazy just live off the Government or rather those that do work. The Democrats want this as a way to "control" the population and generate new Democrats who will keep them in power. By creating a "class" of people that are totally dependent on the government...they insure that they will stay in power. Post Reply
