Qualities of a married manPosted : 14 Mar, 2010 08:16 PMWe're some Christian polygynists from Saskatchewan (where we have legal liberty) and we wanted to take an opportunity to ask women in general some things to see weather things had really changed that much. You see, we've studied enough history to see the times Christians practiced polygamy pre 1800 (because post 1800 Mormonism hits the scene and makes a mess of the topic), and in the cases where they did the women became the prime advocates of it. Much of their reason boiled down to married men having an already proven quality (weather good or bad), that and the fact that they have the benefit of a larger family without having to have all the children themselves. |

Qualities of a married manPosted : 15 Mar, 2010 07:08 AMVery few things, she is fantastic. That's neither topical nor do you fit the category of people I'm addressing. If you want to discuss polygamy in general create a different topic and send me a link, otherwise please don't spam. |

Qualities of a married manPosted : 15 Mar, 2010 07:40 AMIf nothing's wrong with your current wife, then why look for another one? A woman with a healthy self-esteem would not tolerate that, and if you don't think so, then how would you feel if your wife went looking for another husband? oops. |

Qualities of a married manPosted : 15 Mar, 2010 12:15 PMIt amazes me that there are human beings that even accept this kind of lifestyle. And using biblical figures like Abraham or Jacob, etc. as an example does not make it right. I'd like to see a bible verse that condones it. Polygamy is wrong. God can still use people that do "wrong"....but that doesn't mean He condones the sin. Moses was a murderer. David was a murderer and an adulterer. Samson was a traitor and a fornicator. Anyway...polygamy turns "men" into ego-gods and women into "lesser beings" . It's not right. The God-approved method is "one man/one woman"...and I still say...unless you're looking for a housemaid or a babysitter purely for utility/slavery instead of a wife...then "finding another wife" involves adultery....in my opinion... |
