Education.Posted : 18 Jan, 2010 09:43 AMWhat does a man's education level mean to YOU? Is it a lifestyle thing? Is it the ability to "hold a conversation?" What do you think when you think of a man's education level? |

Education.Posted : 18 Jan, 2010 05:50 PMEducation such as a degree in some area would not be that much of a priority with me. GivenLife |

Education.Posted : 18 Jan, 2010 06:08 PMThanks Givenlife, not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but the last comment about where getting to know someone is the real education, I couldn't agree with it more. To anyone else who answers this question-don't be afraid to be honest, I'm not sure what kind of responses to expect at all, but it might be a wide variety, who knows? |

Education.Posted : 18 Jan, 2010 06:41 PMIt does say something to me about a man's background and values when I see what education level he has had. |

Education.Posted : 19 Jan, 2010 11:09 AMTo me, education is important in some ways, and unimportant in others. A college degree (or two, or three) shows perseverance, work ethic, a direction in life, and a greater possibility for a solid job. But as long as a guy has a skill with which to earn a living, and a healthy dose of common sense, a college degree isn't the most important thing. Yeah, I look at education level, but it's not one of those things that makes me say "nope...no degree, no chance." |

Education.Posted : 19 Jan, 2010 04:18 PMA man without a degree has to work harder to get my attention. He also has to NOT be self-conscious or bothered by my advance degree.. (and no comments about use of "big" words, which if i use one, its because it's used to enhance my creative expression) |

Education.Posted : 19 Jan, 2010 09:28 PMI will admit that I look at the education level - merely as a means of scoring points, but not having a degree does not take away points! (If that makes any sense at all) |

Education.Posted : 20 Jan, 2010 09:10 AMFor me, it's more about their calling. Do they know God's calling for their life and are they actively pursuing it? Are they managing their finances well - do they have a stable income? Are they honoring God with whatever he has given them? I believe everyone needs some type of training/education for whatever calling they have. That could be school - undergrad, graduate, or postgraduate - it could be on-the-job training or perhaps something else. Being driven and having a plan and very attractive. If a guy just wants to settle down and work a mimimum wage job for the rest of his life because he's too lazy to WORK towards something better, then that's just not going to work with me, but if he's driven to work hard at what he does and learn the trade, then awesome! That works for me. |
