I am a feminist and I trust God. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Prov 25:24 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house

I guess a feminist needs to be defined before this thread can move forward.

I think there is the somewhat benign definition of feminist that is generally offered to the public and then there is the very malignant reality of how application is made to society.

Feminism comes against the Lord, even at it's most tame, feminism is still driven and powered by worldly ideas, at it's full capacity, rampant and raging. It's like choosing between a little bit of poison, and a lot... One is slow-acting and subtle but the end is the same.

Feminism does need to be defined. The feminism which restores women to their rightful, valuable, and biblical role is good. Women were pretty trounced on for a long time. If you consider feminism as the abolitionist movement for women, it was good in many rights. However, I think MsMarvel nailed it for the contemporary "reach the highest heights" feminism. That is not a biblical attitude. Making a woman equally as valuable and important as a man is biblical(equal, but different). Making a woman a man or to replace a man is not good, and obviously, it is against God's design, and therefore unbiblical on several counts.

"For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God."

:peace::peace:

P.S. Does anyone have an idea of what this means? It's puzzled me for awhile. "Because of the angels"?

"For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels"
